First, you need to realize that you are a sinner. The Bible says in NIV Romans 3:23 that “…all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

Second, ask Jesus to come into your life and to forgive you of your sins. NIV Romans 10:9 says “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Saved from what? A life of sin, destruction, and the damnation of hell.
